5 Days Amboseli and Masai Mara Safari

This second day of your safari is the most adventurous day offering you the best of Amboseli national park for the whole day, on this day you will wake up early for a morning game drive. Early morning game drive is a great chance for you to view many animals such as African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Burchell’s zebra before they disperse in the park. After the morning game drive, you will turn to your lodge for breakfast, after breakfast you will chill at the lodge up to the afternoon or opt for a nature walk in the park. In the afternoon you go for an afternoon game drive where you will watch animals you might have missed on the morning game drive. After the game drive you will drive back to your lodge, freshen up, have dinner and overnight.

The third day of the safari is typically a day of travel/ transferring from Amboseli national park to Masai mara national reserve, you wake up in the morning for breakfast and after breakfast, you check out of your lodge and embark on your drive to Masai mara national reserve. From Amboseli national park it is a distance of 517 kilometers and takes approximately 9-10 hours of drive, on your way you have a stopover for lunch in Narok town for lunch then proceed to the park. You are to arrive in Masai mara national reserve late in the afternoon and you will not do anything other than check in to your lodge, freshen up, relax, have dinner and stay overnight.

On this 4 day of your safari you are to have a full day game drive in the park, you will wake up early in the morning for breakfast, and after you will drive to Masai mara national reserve for a game drive. Masai mara national park is a great habitat for many animals which are easily spotted while driving through the park such as lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes, elephants and many more. After the game drive, you will have lunch at your lodge as you rest for an afternoon activity, in the afternoon you will go for hot air balloon safari. Hot air balloons used in safari are stationed at the little governor’s camp where the safari begins, this safari offers you one hour of viewing the park and its animals from the sky. After the hot air balloon safari you will drive back to your lodge, freshen up have dinner and stay overnight.

On this fifth last day of your safari you wake up early in the morning for breakfast, after breakfast checkout off your lodge, and depart from Masai mara national reserve for Nairobi, from Nairobi to Masai mara is a drive of 5-6 hours and on your way, you will have a stopover in Narok town for lunch. You are expected to reach Nairobi in the evening and when you reach, you will have a drop of either at your hotel or at the airport marking the end of your safari.
