Lake Turkana

Lake Turkana is the world’s largest alkaline and permanent desert lake, located in the Kenyan rift valley and bordered to the north by Ethiopia. With a surface area of 6,405 km2, the lake is the world’s fourth largest salt lake and the 24th largest lake overall.
